With Just Recruit’s Plus bolt-on package you are able to synchronise your email and calendar with your Just Recruit account.


Once your bolt-on has been activated you’ll see a new alert when you log into your account and you’re ready to begin your setup.


Hover over your name in the top right corner and then press 'Profile Settings'.


On the left, then select 'Sync Email Account'. You can alternatively click the email account link in the alert message at the top of the page.


You will now be taken through to a setup screen where you need to enter the email address you would like to sync with your Just Recruit account.


Then press 'Log in'


You are then taken to your email providers login page, where you are required to enter your email address and password to authenticate the connection.


Please note this step will be different for each email provider.

Sign in and you will be redirected back into your Just Recruit Sync Email Account page. You can now select to sync your email account by ensuring the Sync Email checkbox is checked. You can also confirm that the connection to the account is active by when the returned status reads Running.


Calendars associated to the email account will appear underneath. To sync these you will need to check the Sync Calendars checkbox and then select the calendars you wish to add events to. Normally this will just be your main calendar, otherwise you will end up with multiple instances of the events in your calendar.


If your calendars aren’t displayed following the initial setup, there will be a button to retrieve them at the bottom of the page.


Make sure you save the changes at the bottom of the page and your account will sync activity from now on.


One thing to note is that you can only sync one email account per Just recruit user licence.


It may take up to 24 hours for your email and calendar to sync and you might find that one syncs ahead of the other.








Google Business or GSuite users


Before you get started, please ensure you add the Nylas app to your Marketplace app allowlist. Follow these instructions to do so. 


1. After adding your email address you will be asked to log in with Gmail


2. You will be asked to choose the email account you would like to use with nylas.com


Quick note - Nylas is the provider that powers our email and calendar integration in the background



3. Allow nylas.com to access your Google account so that your emails and calendar events can be synced with your Just Recruit account.



TIPS & TROUBLESHOOTING


Global Admin

If you have a Global Administrator for your email account, they will need to authenticate the Nylas app. If your IT support is managed externally and therefore your Global Administrator does not have a Just Recruit account, please get in touch with us via the Helpdesk. 


Before a Global Admin autheticates the app, ensure the 'Approve everybody in my organisation' box is checked before continuing. 


Please note, for those on Microsoft, it is your Microsoft 365 credentials that are required which can sometimes be different to your email credentials. 

E.g. Your email address might be first@company.com whereas your Microsoft 365 username might be first.last@company.com. It is the latter that is required to authenticate. 


Logging in / out

Sometimes, depending on your email provider, you will be required to enter your credentials multiple times at various different stages of the authetication process - this is normal. 


Gsuite whitelist

If you are on Gsuite, you must add the app to the allowlist before carrying out the authetication process.
